As per J-red's request, this is a rough outline of the Draugr's clan hierarchy. Use it as a quick reference when formulating your clan; this should not be considered comprehensive.
The Draugr hierarchy goes something like this:
Council --> Clan --> Guild ---> House --> Tribe
This follows a standard pyramid pattern, where the number of units of each increases as one progresses.
Here is a quick overview of each of those organizations- the role they fufil in your clan and all that:
• Council: Leading authority of diaspora fleet, coordinates all clans, loose power; only one recognized
• Clan: Primary unit of society, equivalent to nation-state. Each is self-sufficient and is run by a ruling house. Everyone would lead one clan. Each clan is independent and has own color scheme, markings, emblem, military forces etc.
Lead by Tetrarch-eminent, who is the Terrarch of the clan's most honorable house. Each clan represents a subspecies of Draugr, although the differences biologically are minor.
• Guild: Generalized grouping of houses based on role; relatively general; examples include combat guild, construction guild, logistical guild, etc.; usually 3-6 per clan
• House: Highly specialized group, dedicated to one function- examples include produing ships, producing motherships, crewing ships, mining raw resources, salavging off the battlefield, maintaining FTL drives, etc. Each house is led by a Tetrarch; when house is in power, tetrarch becomes Tetrarch-eminent, responsible for overseeing clan.
• Tribe: Family unit; several per house. Each act as independent cell, working towards common goal of house.
