Raven Class Gunboat

The Raven class gunboat is a light, agile craft utilized by the Space Agency Space Defense Force.  The Raven, is heavily armed for such a small craft and it has to smaller Light Warp Drives powering the ship to give it considerable speed.

The Raven class has been in use since most of the rest of the Space Defense Force, but it hasn't lost any of it's power or speed.  It can easily hold it's own to Starfleet ships of the same size and even over power some.

Nasty little ship, it looks like it fits the slightly overpowered cannon fodder class perfectly. You know, the class that is obviously cannon fodder, but is still powerful enough to be most annoying and even quite worrisome.

I love that kind of cannon fodder. The primary weakness this type would have I would say is fighters... not much of an anti-fighter defense. Too big to out maneuver them, but too little to have a lot of AA weapons.

Yeah, and just the right size to be easy pickings. But yeah, I hate that kind of cannon fodder. I fight it way too much, and I never use it.

I prefer to go with a few elite rather than overwhelming numbers.....though I'll take overwhelming numbers of elites if I can manage it.

Seconded what the others have said. I particularly like the method used to mount the middle cannons.

This little ship does have one more strength though. The bigger starships are so fast compared to it, that they always overshoot when shooting at it. Right?

Awww... It's so cute... Um... er... I mean, dangerous, yes, dangerous looking

I like this little ship!

My TWO suggestions would be to slant the outer turret wings down a bit, and maybe add some anti fighter missiles into the design (might keep it alive a little longer )

But it's just so cu.... I mean lethal

@ Dino - Actually, those "wings" can't be slanted because of what they're mounted on.
