MI-2 Anaconda Empty MI-2 Anaconda

MI-2 Anaconda Mi-2_a10

The MI-2 Anaconda is a mechanized hardsuit operated mainly by PXE special forces. It’s motions are controlled by the pilot, giving it human speed and flexibility, while also enhancing strength further than the genetic engineering provides. Anacondas are quite armored, being able to absorb small arms and normal fire. Even small grenades can be withstood by the MI-2 suits, but about three or so will do it for the Anaconda. MI-2’s are very versatile and can operate in almost any environment in almost any conditions, thanks to hyperthermal and hypothermal armor. It can also carry multiple tools or weapons in its backpack and has increased jump abilities because of a rocket mounted under the backpack.

Anacondas are not at all lacking in serious armament. Weapons on their wrists and shoulders can quickly decimate a normal squadron of enemy troops while its armor and shields can withstand their fire. Human agility and flexibility allows it to dodge slow, unguided projectiles, while it can quickly enter and eliminate troops within sheltered bunkers or heavy fortifications. The MI-2 is also capable of carrying normal hand-held armaments, further increasing its versatility. This makes it an effective fighting machine that is capable of combating anywhere, anytime, with heavy firepower.

The MI-2 suits are equipped with energy weapons mounted on its wrists. The right wrist (relative to the MI-2) is equipped with a powerful drill hook on top (which fires a drilling grappler) to scale rock faces or kill multiple enemy troops lined up in rows. It can also make dents and even holes in some armor, allowing the rest of the weapons to take advantage of the exposure. A powerful ARC-2 dual rotary cannon is also armed to take care of infantry, while its shield can not only protect it from enemy fire and explosives, but can be used as a devastating (and often messy) melee weapon. On the left wrist, a ARC-3 dual energy burst launcher is mounted to take care of light vehicles. A heavier HARC-4 rotary cannon. Finally, most importantly, is the presence of the ML-2, mounted on its right shoulder. This can fire AAM-1’s to take care of medium vehicles. And the Anaconda can also carry standard hand-held armaments. (in the pics, it carries a CK-2, CP-1, and AR-9)

MI-2 Anacondas have relatively heavy armor to protect them from small arms and standard bullet/energy fire for a short period of time. For shielding, the MI-2 utilizes an ASG-1, though there is no HTSG-2 or DSG-1 present, to reduce weight.

The Anaconda can travel at human speeds (when operated by a human pilot). This speed is quite slow though, thus, pilots can turn off the shock links between their legs and the hardsuit’s legs, allowing them to pilot the MI-2, but at a much higher rate. However, the downside is that this decreases maneuverability and reflexes, and thus, makes it more vulnerable to straight-firing weapons. Therefore, the pilot must choose, depending on the situation, to either operate with enhanced speed but lower maneuverability, or with the vice versa. MI-2’s are also equipped with foot pads with MAB-1 technology as well as claws with MAG-1 technology. These allow it to reduce the risk of falling but to jump higher and faster as well, and combined with springs, give it huge leaping capabilities. And also, thanks to the jump jet located in the backpack, the Anaconda can jump even higher and fly for very short durations. However, the jump jet is less used for jumping and is more commonly used for high-altitude drop deployment, where it can use the jump jet to stabilize its flight, allowing the springs of the foot pad to soften the landing and reduce the risk of damaged machinery or an injured pilot.

It's beautiful. One of the best hardsuit designs I have ever seen, I LOVE it!!! WELL done! GREAT job! I'm just going to stare at the pictures some more...

So PXE uses genetic engineering? Interesting. I'd like to hear about your process when you get back. Smile

@Dino: What do you mean process? I don't know the process. Razz It's just GE-ing in general. If you mean which traits are augmented, then it depends mostly on branch. Common traits that are GE-ed include physical strength, speed, vision, increased ability to operate in low oxygen environments, higher jump, etc.

And thanks!

@Spud: Thank you!
